The 2021 Hyde Park Art Show
The Hyde Park Square Art Show Committee is making plans for our 2021 Art Show, Sunday October 3, 2021. Working closely with the city of Cincinnati and the Health Department to ensure that we are in keeping with the guidelines for outdoor events of our type, we have made some necessary changes. Most important to you perhaps is that we will be needing to limit the number of our accepted booths in the upcoming Show. Please keep this in mind as you decide if you want to apply. We are presently joining with the staff of Summerfair to proceed with our Zapplication process. Those artists invited to participate in last years Show are invited back to the 2021 Show. You will be asked to submit an application through Zapplication and pay the $30.00 application fee. The application fees are necessary to the committee in order to cover the costs involved of registering applicants. We understand that 2020 was a tough year for everyone but we also hope you can understand that we cannot operate the Show without these application fees. For those 2019 previous winners who had accepted the invitation for the October, 2020 Show and submitted their booth fees, you are also invited to participate in this year’s Show and the booth fees you have already paid will be applied to 2021. Please let us know your intentions as soon as possible. The Zapplication program will open on March 1 and the deadline to indicate your intentions for 2021 will be on March 30. If we do not hear from you by April 9, we will assume that you are not accepting the invitation for the October 3rd Show. We will also be accepting applications from those artists who would like to be prejudged into the 2021 Show from the same Zapplication form. As a 2020 invitee, you will NOT need to be prejudged, however all new applicants will go through the prejudging process. There will be a place on the Zapplication form to indicate if you are a returning artist from the 2020 Show or a new applicant. Keeping in mind our booth spaces will more limited than in the past, and that we need the Show to reflect all the art mediums, it may be necessary to limit the number of artists in any one particular category. This year, it will be important for each of you to make a prompt decision about your intent as the booths will be assigned on a first come basis. We will continue to monitor the CDC guidelines as well as work with city officials to ensure that all precautions are taken to have a safe and successful Show for you and the attending community on October 3, 2021.
