HPBA Member Benefits

The HPSBA Board and Active Members are ready, willing and able to take the retailers and service providers in and around Hyde Park Square to new heights. We believe that Hyde Park Square is a place, not a mall - and we will increase traffic and patronage by promoting our uniquely appealing attributes to our residential neighbors and the Greater Cincinnati shopping public. Our primary initiatives for the coming year are:

1) Events: Beyond overseeing the look of the Square (flags, trees, fountain, etc.) we produce and/or support and promote events unique to our Square that help enhance the HPS "vibe" and drive additional traffic and patronage to your businesses. Upcoming committed or planned events include:

- SUNDAYS ON THE SQUARE - ad campaign kick off to coincide with the opening of the Farmer's Market
- Hyde Park Farmers Market On the Square: Sundays, June 3-October 21
- The Annual Hyde Park Blast: Run, Bicycle Races, Street Party: June 30
- Annual Hyde Park Square Sidewalk Sale: August 23,24,25,26
- 45th Annual Hyde Park Square Art Show: October 7
- Annual Hyde Park Square Holiday Classic Event: Caroling, Tree Lighting & Visit From Santa w/ Treats for All: November 23

2) Advertising: While HPS is a unique destination, we need to present ourselves in a variety of media to the general public to maintain and increase awareness. To that end, the HPSBA deploys member dues to place high-impact HPS advertising in area media outlets.

3) Web: Members receive an individual page with links, logos, and detailed information.

4) Group Membership Advantages: The Association supports its members through connections/counsel on parking and zoning issues with the city, and scalable vendor relationships for such things as repair work and web site design/advertising through arrangements with the provideres used by the HPSBA. We are always reviewing these opportunities and presenting them to members as they become available throughout the year.

5) Funding: These initiatives, while ambitious, are not unrealistic. The degree of our accomplishments are dependent entirely on YOU. We cannot successfully tackle all that we have in-store without your support. To that end, following are the two things you can do to take Hyde Park Square to the next level for the benefit of us all:
$$$$$: Your annual 2010/11 (April to April) Hyde Park Square Business Association dues are now due. Drop a check off at Merchants Bank at 3442 Edwards Road or mail it to Hyde Park Business Association PO Box 8848, Cincinnati OH 45208.

6) Monthly Meetings: Let your voice be heard and your vote count. (Paid members only vote.) Meeting locations are at Minnillo & Jenkins, 2712 Observatory Ave.
